About the job
As a Software Engineer, you will enable our cutting-edge research and growing team by putting the best technology in their hands. You will identify opportunities to improve our manufacturing and research workflows and implement your solutions as a member of our Data Engineering team. You will build tools to help our team explore and leverage their analytical and process data. You will pitch in as needed to ensure the security and availability of NuMat’s technology stack.
Own our Laboratory Information Management System and extend it to new data inputs and analysis
Assist Controls Engineers in constructing controllers for new research and manufacturing systems
Maintain and improve our process and analytical data pipelines (SCADA)
Support our team of material scientists, engineers, and executives to take full advantage of our technology resources as we develop and manufacture world-class performance materials
Experience with Linux environments and server administration
Effective communication with colleagues with a wide range of technical experience
Interest in learning new technologies and continually improving systems
Interest in working in a fast-paced, growing company that values initiative and flexibility
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent industrial experience
Nice if you have:
Experience with data aggregation and processing pipelines like Splunk, ELK stack, or TICK stack.
Experience with Django and Django Rest Framework
Experience with Docker and containerized workflows
Experience with Front-End frameworks such as React or Vue
Understanding of cybersecurity threat landscape and best practices
Exposure to industrial controls and automation equipment
