About the job
As a Chemistry intern, you will work closely with the chemistry team to develop a range of skills. You will support synthesis, characterization and scale up of new and established MOF materials. You will collaborate with a high-energy team of engineers and scientists in a fast-paced environment.
The role’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
synthesis according to literature procedures
design of experiments to improve MOF characteristics
routine scale up and procedures
Undergraduate chemist, ideally junior or senior level.
Comfortable with basic laboratory procedures, standard organic synthesis and characterization technique.
Familiarity with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy for 1H and 13C nuclei, Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD) or Ultraviolet–Visible (UV-Vis) Spectroscopy is a plus.
Able to critically understand literature and document procedures.
Prior MOF experience is a plus but not required.
Self-motivated, confident, and able to work in a fast-paced environment under some supervision.
Entrepreneurial, meeting deadlines in a highly-collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
A passion for learning new skills.
Able to collaborate across functional and organizational lines and capable of working with all levels of individuals and cultures.
